I'm a relative newbie to the world of Asian Pop, although I enjoyed it immensely while I was in Hawaii for 3 years! The catch was...I'd never catch the name of the groups or singers from the radio. I'd always watch the variety shows and see performances, but there were no subtitles...Oh well. I've been familiar with Japanese pop for some time, however. I get my fill of Korean Pop from the CFocus streaming station and from KBS, whenever I can find it.
I'll put as much as legally possible here, including links to well developed H, J and KPop sites out there.
Faye Wong -- The most amazing and talented pop star in the world. Plain and simple. You have to hear her stuff to believe me. You should...stop reading and go out and buy one of her cds. You'll find plenty of her cds on http://www.us.yesasia.com. I'm surprised that I don't find her cds at the local stores...yet.
